Email Client Configuration Help

Information about email account setup and auto-configuration options. You will need the emali address and password for your account.

Microsoft Outlook Autodiscover:

Outlook will query the autodiscover.xml end point with an email address and will get back the server settings
https://autodiscover.<<domain>>.<<ext>>/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

Mozilla Thunderbird

Thunderbird looks at the autoconfig information to setup the client
https://autoconfig.<<domain>>.<<ext>>/mail/config-v1.1.xml

iPhone/iPad/Mac setup profiles:

Users can use Safari to browse to the following URL, after editing it to include their email.
https://autoconfig.<<domain>>.<<ext>>/email.mobileconfig?email=<<email address>>

For example: https://autoconfig.example.org/email.mobileconfig?email=user@example.org

On iPad/iPhone this will prompt you to download the profile. Going to settings will then allow you to install the profile on yoru phone.

On Mac you will need to save the resulting xml file on your computer with .mobileconfig extension. You can then open the file to install it.

This will include all the server settings and username needed. You will need the password.

Gmail/Android Gmail:

To setup Gmail either on your computer web browser, or on your Android device, please see the detailed instructions for Adding non-Gmail accounts to Gmail.

Manual Server setup:

Username: <<domain>>_<<account name>> For jane@example.org it would usually be "example_jane"
IMAP: mail.us.opalstack.com SSL on port 993 normal password
POP3: mail.us.opalstack.com SSL on port 995 normal password
SMTP: smtp.us.opalstack.com TLS on port 587 normal password or SSL on port 465 normal password

NOTE: login name / user name is not the email address
